I am honored to build relationships with students that encourage a love of learning by helping them make meaningful connections. I am grateful to have worked with young children for over 25 years in various capacities.
I grew up in Sundance, WY, and moved to Powell, WY at age 12. I have lived in Billings, MT, and briefly in Tempe, AZ. My husband and I have two teenage daughters. Outside of working with incredible young children, some of my favorite things are the beach, Disney, watching my kids' activities, and spending time with family at home.

“You can do hard things.” If you spend much time with me, you’ll probably hear me say these four words! I truly believe that children are capable of so much more than they sometimes realize, and one of my favorite things is being there to encourage them, cheer them on, and remind them that they can do hard things.
Hi, I’m Kelsey Nguyen, and I’m so excited to be part of the Little Learners family! I’ve been substituting at Little Learners for the past five years, and one of my favorite parts of being here is watching our students learn, grow, gain confidence, and discover just how much they can do.
I also work as a substitute for Park County School District #1, which gives me the opportunity to work with children of many different ages. I especially love working with our littlest learners! There is something so special about seeing a preschooler’s face light up when they learn a new skill, accomplish something they’ve been working on, or proudly say, “I did it!” Those little moments are what make working with children so rewarding.
Outside of Little Learners, I love being involved with the community. I am the SCO President at Southside Elementary, coach Little League and cheerleading through Powell Recreation, and am always looking for ways to support and encourage local kids. I truly believe children thrive when they have adults around them who believe in them-and I am always happy to be one of those people!
At home, I’m a very proud mom of four boys and a wife. My family keeps me busy, and you can usually find me somewhere around a sports field on just about any night of the week! When I’m not chasing kids around, I enjoy baking, spending time with my family, and even the occasional karaoke night-even though my singing skills may be a little more enthusiastic than talented!
I earned my Associate’s Degree in Social Science from Northwest College, and I love using what I learned to help create a positive, encouraging environment where children feel safe to explore, supported, capable, and excited to learn. I want my students to know that it’s okay to make mistakes, and it’s okay to try again. I’ll be right there cheering them on through it all.
Because sometimes all a child needs is someone in their corner saying: “You can do hard things.” I’m so grateful to be part of their preschool journey and look forward to all the learning, laughter, and fun we’ll share together!
